Whilst there are many factors affecting reliability, frequency, and journey-times on our local railway system, including unsatisfactory performance by the rail operator, industrial action, unreliable rolling-stock, and inadequate timetabling of services, by far the most important factor is track and station infrastructure.

CONSTITUENCY BLOG POST -REDHILL AERODROME DEVELOPMENT PLAN

I share the concerns voiced by many of my constituents about proposals to develop Redhill Aerodrome into a ‘garden village’ containing 6-7,000 new homes. Not only would such a large scale development have serious implications for local transport and infrastructure, but it would wholly compromise the very purpose of London’s Green Belt.

Finally some good news for rail commuters

Crispin Blunt MP is delighted that the Rail Minister has responded to local rail users’ prolonged campaign for fairer fares, with a series of ticketing measures announced today.
