Do you need local information or to report an issue? You might find what you need at Reigate and Banstead Borough Council's homepage: www.reigate-banstead.gov.uk

Correspondence to me:

It is important if you are contacting me for assistance that you include your full name and residential postal address (including post code) in your e-mail to enable me to respond to you. Parliamentary protocol understandably requires that I can only take up cases on behalf of constituents living in the Reigate constituency. If you are uncertain, you can check who your MP is at:

If your issue relates to local issues within the executive authority of the Borough Council or County Council, you should also consider contacting your Councillors who, also as your elected representatives, may be able to offer assistance.

You can find your local Borough councillors at:

and your County councillor at:

I receive a large number of emails and letters each day and I try to ensure each receives an appropriate response. If you send a standard generated email as part of an organised e-campaign or through a website (for example 38 Degrees, Change.org or similar third-party pressure group emails), I can assure you that your emails are read, the concerns are noted, and I am aware of the number of emails I am receiving on each issue. However, due to the high and growing volume of this type of identical correspondence, I am no longer able to provide a response.

Data protection note:

Any personal information that you give to me will be handled confidentially by me and the staff in my office, in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018.

My office collects personal information that is supplied to me in my role as a Member of Parliament. It includes information supplied by my constituents and others in relation to matters which I have been asked to pursue in taking up matters on behalf of individuals and groups in my constituency. If you contact me seeking my help in pursuing or resolving a matter, I will use your information in order to pursue the matter you have raised with me, as you would reasonably expect. My staff will normally see this information to find help and advice for you. Your personal and sensitive information may be passed to other agencies if I believe this to be necessary to pursue the matter you have raised with me. I intend that only the minimum possible personal information will be shared with other agencies, as necessary to assist you. If you give me personal information about someone other than yourself, I may need to check the facts with that other person. If you ask me to take action on behalf of a friend or relative, I will need written permission from that person to confirm that they give consent for me to act on their behalf. If you feel it would not be appropriate for me to contact the other person, you should discuss this with me or my staff when you give their information.

On occasion, I may send you information or updates related to the subject matter you contacted me about. If you do not wish to receive such information or updates, please contact my office.

Please contact my office if you have any queries regarding our data protection responsibilities which ensure we store and process personal data safely.
