As the coronavirus situation evolves, please be assured that both Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and Surrey County Council are organising themselves to deal with this emergency and do all they can to support the local community.
Over the coming months, it is anticipated that voluntary services in Reigate & Banstead will come under increasing pressure – more vulnerable people will need support at a time when organisations have reduced capacity, due to staff and volunteer absence.
It was with great disappointment that I recently received a letter from Baroness Vere of Norbiton, Transport Minister for Roads Buses and Places, advising me that the proposed M23/A23 Hooley Interchange Project (known as project Dj) had not been selected as one of the road infrastructure projects that were given the go ahead in the Government’s Road Investment Strategy 2 (RIS2) which covers the period from 2020-2025.
