PLEASE HELP THOSE IN NEED IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY
In order to meet the increasing demands of local charities struggling to respond to the social and economic fall-out from the COVID-19 pandemic, The Community Fund for Reigate and Banstead is making a special appeal for donations so that, together, we can ensure that charitable services in our area remain capable of supporting our local vulnerable residents. As we are all aware, the situation is expected to get worse before it gets better.
All donations to the Fund, up to a total of £6,000, will be match-funded by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council as long as they are received before 31 March, meaning that all donations received before this date will double in value and impact.
Of course, donations can be made after 31 March, but these will not be match-funded.
We realise that this is a very difficult time for many local people, so we are asking if you are able, for you to consider donating at whatever level you feel is appropriate in the circumstances towards helping our local community during this crisis.
All donations help, whether they are £20, £50, £100, or more.
The Community Fund for Reigate and Banstead is managed by the Community Foundation for Surrey. Information about our own local Fund can be found at:

About The Community Fund for Reigate and Banstead (CFRB)
The Community Fund for Reigate and Banstead has granted a total of over £53,000 to local charities, addressing local needs, over the two years since its inception. The urgent objective is to increase the size of the fund and its local grant-giving capacity as quickly as possible.
As part of the Community Foundation for Surrey family of funds, CFRB is our very own ‘local fund’ which relies upon philanthropic donations from local businesses and members of the public, in order that we can donate grants to charities operating in a range of areas to address key local needs, specifically and solely in Reigate and Banstead.
For the past twelve months it has been focusing on responding to the many urgent needs of local charities to help them address the fall-out from the Coronavirus pandemic.
Since May 2020, The Fund has also benefited from being the chosen charity of the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead and it is also supported by our local MP, Crispin Blunt, and by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council.
The Community Fund model of maintaining an Endowment Fund for future generations, along with the Grants Fund, means that this is a long term project to benefit our community now and for future generations, and has enabled the CFRB to generate over an additional £3,000 from investment income towards local grant-giving to date.
The Community Fund for Reigate and Banstead is a sub-fund of The Community Foundation for Surrey (Charity number 1111600)
