Unacceptable continuing disruption on Southern Rail

The continuing disruption on Southern Rail is totally unacceptable. I have impressed the severity of this on the Secretary of State for Transport. The Transport Select Committee is investigating the issues which have led to the dispute as well as the Remedial Plan for this part on the rail network. I fully support any efforts to bring management and unions together to bring an immediate end to the industrial action, as has been the plea from the Reigate Redhill and District Rail Users’ Association on behalf of commuters. The Prime Minister said in the House of Commons on 29th June 'I can tell the House we will be providing more generous compensation to passengers affected by the latest strike and the Transport Secretary will be announcing further details soon.' I look forward to hearing the details of this soon.
