The line between Tonbridge and Redhill will be closed until at least the 15th of April and possibly beyond, to allow Network Rail to undertake urgent repairs to the embankment that carries the railway.
A rail replacement bus service will be in operation for the duration of the closure. Customers can use their tickets to travel on alternate routes via London at no extra charge, but they should allow extra time to complete their journeys. For the latest information on alternative travel arrangements please do visit www.southernrailway.com.
Network Rail apologise for the disruption this repair work will cause. They know there is never a good time to close any part of the railway but the safety of customers and railway colleagues is their number one priority. Their teams will be working extremely hard to resolve this issue as quickly and safely as possible so they can get customers moving again. They will be continuing to post updates on their progress on their Twitter feed, available via @NetworkRailSE.
