Brief COVID-19 update from Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR).
To support key workers, this week has seen the introduction of additional train services to support the workforce of a hospital disinfectant manufacturer in Billingshurst and additional early morning replacement bus services between Reigate and Redhill. Our timetable team continues to adjust services wherever we can. As always, if you are aware, from key worker contacts, of any significant gaps, please do get in contact and we will do what we can.
In addition, to support customers with season ticket refunds, this week has seen the introduction of both a season ticket refund calculator on our websites and continued work towards the introduction of a remote refund process for paper season tickets, also via our websites.
Elsewhere on the network, this week saw the introduction of three specially liveried trains across Thameslink, Southern and Great Northern to celebrate the contribution of key workers. With the first, a Thameslink train arriving into London Bridge just in time for last night’s 8 pm #ClapForCarers event, we really hope the trains provide a little morale boost wherever they are seen out and about on the network.
