It has taken some time for me to obtain an official response from Andrew Jones MP, Under Secretary of State for Railways, to the letter I sent to him following our meeting on 13th March, during which we discussed the issue of the Redhill Fares Hump.
The Brexit crisis will be the inescapable background to Borough elections in Reigate and Banstead on 2 May. Furthermore, all ward seats will be up for election due to boundary changes across the Borough. Each voter will have three candidates to vote for, instead of the usual one.
I had hoped to first explain my vote for the Withdrawal Agreement in the House of Commons debate last Friday. However, as I’ve called the Speaker out for his bias, this is now the second debate in which I am in the small number of MPs not called to speak.
