Update on GTR rail services during industrial action in early September

ASLEF have announced a strike on Friday 1 September. The RMT have announced strike action for Saturday 2 September. ASLEF have also announced a ban on overtime working on Saturday 2 September.

Reigate & Banstead Borough Council is seeking local people’s views on the public space protection orders (PSPOs) used to control the behaviour of dogs, particularly in its parks and green spaces.

On Saturday 26 August, train services will be limited across the network, with a later start, an early shut down and no service in some locations.

Crispin Blunt MP has welcomed the announcement that East Surrey Hospital will get 64 new beds thanks to a government investment of £6 million.

Two new modular wards will be built to increase capacity by 32 beds and reprovide a further 32 beds.
