Please be aware of the following notification from Southern Gas Network (SGN) about the forthcoming project to upgrade the gas network in Chart Lane, Reigate.

The project involves the essential replacement of old metal gas mains with new plastic pipes. The contractor Medway Civils & Utilities will undertake the work on behalf of SGN.

In consultation with Surrey County Council, SGN has revised the programme of works and will now start the project on Monday 15 March for approximately two weeks.

Engineers will be working in Chart Lane, outside St Mary’s Preparatory School. For everyone’s safety, they will need to close this section of Chart Lane. A signed diversion will be in place via A25 Reigate Road and Blackborough Road.

Access to the school will be maintained via Blackborough Road. Access for residents will be maintained throughout.
