I am fully supportive of the activities of Banstead Rotary Club during this difficult Christmas. Their efforts are not only about fundraising but also about bringing some much-needed cheer this year.
On the 23rd November 2020 Banstead lights were switched on by the annual visit by Father Christmas, which signals the start of Banstead Rotary’s free to enter Photography Competition and of the annual Christmas Collection in support of many well-deserving local charities.
Given the many social restrictions, Banstead Rotary could not allow Father Christmas to tour the area as he normally would, to spread much Christmas cheer and to accept the many valuable donations from local residents which, in 2019, raised around £12,000 and so have moved to more virtual and internet-based initiatives, which can be accessed via:

Every single penny that is raised will go to help and support the many local Banstead charities so all donations will be gratefully received and will make a huge difference to those in need, particularly at this challenging time.
The Rotary Club is also encouraging everyone to enter the Banstead Christmas Photography competition :
with a special prize of a hamper filled with hand-picked goodies, which has been generously donated by Asda Burgh Heath.
The many Local Charities to benefit from these initiatives this year include:
