Crispin Blunt MP has released the following statement:

“I am endorsing Theresa May to become the next leader of the Conservative Party and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

“I met with Theresa this morning to discuss the key national and international issues facing Britain today and including commitment to a positive, internationalist role for Britain in the world.

“I was satisfied that Theresa is seized of the opportunities that lie ahead and understood the need to present a positive vision of Britain as an outward looking and liberal player on the world stage. With this reassurance it is clear she is much the most qualified of the candidates for the Conservative leadership to serve as the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.”
